100 conversations inspired this artwork with local residents. Hanna collaborated with Waltham Forest’s Young Advisors and interviewed local people, asking the question, “What do you feel connected to?” The answers were wide-ranging yet overlapping. From religion to nature to work, it became clear that we have more in common with strangers we pass by on the street than we might think. We created a pop-up installation in Juniper Park to share people’s connections and activate the space. Inspired by these conversations and the installation, the final artwork is a celebration of the invisible ties that connect us all as a community.
